James Alexander "Jim" Isbell

Chico ~ James “Jim” Alexander Isbell, 88, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 in Decatur.

Celebration of Life is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Morris Memorial United Methodist Church in Chico, Texas.

Jim Alexander Isbell was born on May 5, 1932 in Electra, Texas to Cecil and Mabel (Reis) Isbell. He was united in marriage to Helen Louise Gee on April 4, 1998 in Iowa Park. Jim was an electrician for Isbell Electric Company.  He proudly served in the National Guard. Jim will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his children’s mother, Betty Jo Davidson; his second wife, Juanita Isbell; his sons, James Russell Isbell and David Ronald Isbell; his granddaughter, Shanna Marie Isbell; his brothers, Rama Isbell and Cecil Isbell; and his sisters, Caroline Pullium and Eileen Smith.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Helen Isbell of Chico; his sons, Scott Isbell and wife Jeanette of Brownwood, and Robert Isbell of Amarillo; his daughter, Amelia Throneberry of Duncan, Oklahoma; his sons, Wes Isbell and wife Joann of Seminole, and Jackie Souther Jr. and wife Joyce of Chico; his daughters, Sharla Karch of Chico, Donna Armontrout of Wichita Falls, Louise Williams of Bedford, Jennetta Baker of Iowa Park, Kathy Buchanan of Moore, Oklahoma, and Teresa Williams of Wichita Falls; his sons, Bobby Williams of Iowa Park and Billy Williams of Denver, Arkansas; his brothers, Donald Isbell of Wichita Falls and Michael Isbell and wife Jimmie Lee of Iowa Park; his sister, Sherry Luke and husband Bill of Burkburnett; numerous grand and great-grandchildren, extended family members and a host of friends.
